According to Carter Pavey, the casino’s assistant general manager, donations are the biggest thing for them.
Donations by Gun Lake Casino benefit many community-based organizations
Gun Lake is located in Barry/Allegan counties, Michigan, and is home to a large number of community-based organizations. The strategic location in Wayland offers easy accessibility to residents within the neighboring counties and the entire Michigan State. The Gun Lake online casino is also available to all the players within the state who want to wager from home.
The casino gives back to the community through projects that raise the quality of life of its members. The casino management believes that serving the society through monetary giving is a great privilege. They rely on the surrounding neighborhoods for business, so it is important to give back to the community.
To date, the donations have benefited 12 nonprofits located in Michigan. Organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Paws with a Cause, Special Olympics Michigan, and Toys for Tots have benefited.
For example, the donations made to the American Cancer Research are used to enhance cancer research. They are also used to mentor cancer survivors and offer transportation to cancer patients when they are visiting health care centers.
According to Susan Brogger, the ACS associate director for development in West Michigan, Gun Lake Casino has doubled donations since the time they started. It is a good cause to start volunteering to serve the needy communities through any of these nonprofits.
