The Summit
New York City, September 11-12, 2008
On September 11, Columbia University hosted the ServiceNation Presidential Summit on Service. Presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama came to share their positions on service and affirm their support for the service movement. On the 12th, grasstops from around the country came together in NYC for a summit on the role of service in America.
Day of Action
50 States and Puerto Rico, 1 Day of Service, September 27, 2008
Over 2700 service events around the country kicked off the first ServiceNation Day of Action, a national day of service coordinated to get people out and involved. Read reports and see pictures and video from around the country.
Inaugural Week 2009
Washington DC, January 19-20, 2009
ServiceNation brings service to the nation's capital this Inaugural Week. This 2009, make Martin Luther King Jr. Day a "Day of Action", where you take a Day On instead of a Day Off. Find out about all the exciting events that ServiceNation will have a presence at.
