Peace Out

Now that it's Friday, we're taking a breather from the always-moving world of nonprofits and service and remembering our place in the universe. Here are a few videos that inspire us to remember that we're all part of being the change we wish to see in the world.

First up, a cool video from Kat Edmonson, a rising music star. Appropriately (for us at BTC, anyway!) named "Be the Change," this song is great reminder of why we do what we do, because the world "isn't what we planned" and we "gotta take a stand." Check out more of Kat's music here.

Next, we have a video that one of our younger changemakers introduced us to. While you can say what you like about the Disney Channel stars, there's no denying that their song "Send It On" has a great message. Here are a few lines: "Just one hand can heal another. Be a part, reach a heart, just one spark starts a fire. With one little action the chain reaction will never stop." Makes you want to be part of the chain reaction!

And, finally, no Peace Out about the world and the change we want to see would be complete without "We Are the World." While the lyrics of this one pretty much speak for itself, we love this particular video because it shows the way some of the greatest artists worked together to get out an important message. Pretty inspirational.
