GOOD’s Crowdsourced Campaign To Save The World
Subscribe to the Blog RSS FeedDo you ever feel like you could change the world if you could just get people to listen to you? Well, our friends at GOOD are listening. How? They are starting to roll out idea-based platforms, for sharing ideas, sparking discussion and encouraging collaboration that will make the world and its communities a better place.
The first platform is Cities and GOOD is asking this simple yet profoundly important question:
How can we make cities better, so that they improve the lives of the people who live in them and the health of the planet?
Think you know the answer? Share your ideas, stories and beliefs on the Cities website, read others’ ideas and get inspired to go to work on reinventing our urban concepts.
Cities is the first platform in this interesting initiative, but GOOD has added a bunch more: Art & Design, Business & Money, Environment, Food, People, and Politics. It's hard not to love the scope and ambition inherent in that list, because when you put all these areas together you are basically talking about reinventing modern society for the better.
GOOD is partnering with IBM to make these separate spaces as engaging and productive as possible. Here’s what Ben Goldhirsh, GOOD founder and BTC Board member, has to say about their partnership:
We decided to work together because of a shared goal in celebrating and enabling progress at the intersection of pragmatism and idealism. They gave us the resources to make this happen and they're also providing expertise and insight to ensure that this effort reaches the goals we all hold for it. So firstly, lets thank IBM and secondly, let's enjoy this, and make it as rich and dynamic an environment as possible.
So, get involved, share your ideas and help refashion the world around you. Read GOOD’s newsletter, check out the Cities page or get involved with the GOOD community.
Here’s Ben again, on why it's important to do good:
