AmeriCorps is on the Chopping Block. Call Congress Now!

Two weeks ago, the House of Representatives came out with budget proposal that would eliminate AmeriCorps. Before the House adjourns for their Summer Recess tomorrow, we need your help today letting Members of Congress know that they have constituents who support AmeriCorps and want to see it expanded, not eliminated.

Call 1-800-216-0327 and let your Representative know you support AmeriCorps!

Last year the House tried to do the same thing and – with your help – we were able to successfully fight back by sending the message loud and clear that AmeriCorps needed to be a priority.  With even tougher decisions to make this year, our elected leaders will once again be looking to their constituents to help them decide what investments are critical to their local communities.

Call 1-800-216-0327 and ask your Representative to make AmeriCorps a priority!

Each call is free and will only take a few minutes of your time.  When you call you will be asked for your zip code so that you can be transferred to your Representative.  Below we’ve included some talking points to convey to your elected official’s office.

It’s that easy and each call makes a huge difference.  Thank you for your support!

Your help spreading the word about Call Day today will be much appreciated.  Post on Facebook or share on Twitter asking your friends and family to make the call to support AmeriCorps.
